It was when I just began my journey in Japan when I visited a Japanese Akoya Pearl farm off the shores of Mie. The waters were pristine and the air was clean. I got an exclusive first row seat to the magic which is Japanese pearl culturing. Each of the staff were so dedicated and caring, it made sense: Japanese pearl's perfection is due to this dedication and attention to details. I understood why Akoyas were iconic in any collection. As pearl exporters, we have the privilege to buy directly from the farms. We sort the pearls and put together well balanced necklaces such as this one.
The strand is 16.5" long the pearls are round, white with slight pink overtones and a very good luster. their diameter is 7.0x7.5mm. This is a classic item in anyone should have in their jewelry collection. It’s timeless and never goes out of fashion. The necklace can be used in formal events such as weddings and passed down. It captures the life essence of the oyster as well as love and good memories.
Each necklace is strung by our pearl master with over 40 years of experience in stringing the traditional japanese method, with a yellow gold plated silver clasp.
